In Chinese tradition, Qing Ming is about going outside "walk the greens" (踏青) and paying homage to the ancestors for good luck.

This holiday, Serk invites you to join the Cycling Qing Ming.

The Ride

We leave Beijing proper and ride on the Hebei/Beijing border. It will be a loop around a spectacular canyon full of greens in Hebei close to Wulingshan.

(There are some small sections of road that are a bit rough followed by long stretches of good quality concrete roads. Bring extra tubes as the Hebei roads aren't as good as the ones we are spoilt within Beijing. The roads are totally rideable however and still better than the roads you'll ride on in some parts of Europe or Australia. )

Schedule

06:00 Sign-in and coffee at Serk

06.30 Drive 1.5 hours to start point in Hebei

08.00 Start riding around Wulingshan area. 3 distances A, B and C

13.30 Finish riding and head back to Beijing
