Beijing Cycling Mountain Escape – Special May edition

mtn_escapes_2

For this weeks cycling escape we will ride on a new route and offer an overnight stay for 10 people.

A day out cycling in Beijing’s mountains is the perfect antidote to our busy city lives. Only one and half hour’s drive from the city are stunning mountains, fresh air and quiet roads which provide a world class environment for cycling.

Serk have a base in Huairou with modern facilities and a relaxing vibe which serves as the base for cyclists for the day. With 3 riding distances the event caters for all – from the first timer to experienced riders. Perhaps you have a non cycling partner or a family – bring them along too for a spot of hiking, wall sightseeing and lungfuls of fresh mountain air.

After the ride Serk provide a delicious and nutritious lunch to satisfy your post ride hunger. In the afternoon relax in the courtyard with a few beers and some chilled music or stroll around the village enjoying the fresh air.  You can even have a shower and be refreshed for the trip back to the city.

Overnight Stay

If you’d like to stay overnight at the house in Wudaohe this is possible for 10 people. There are 2 conditions if you’d like to stay ; You need to bring your own sheets / pillow cases and towels AND to keep costs down you need to ride back to the city the following day.

We will have one support sedan which will transport all your gear back to the city. There are 2 ride options – a short route 80km and the long and scenic route of 130km.

The long route travels north over Dongbei Kou and down into Sihai followed by a long descent to Huang Hua Cheng where we will stop for a delicious roast fish lunch.

The overnight stay in an additional 400 RMB which covers the cost of an additional dinner and breakfast – however you are expected to contribute to the cooking and cleaning up !
