Bike in Cinema with Electric Shadows

Ooh it’s been a hot summer this year hasn’t it? Well we’re invoking the good grace of the Beijing Weather Gods for the annual Bike-In Open Air film screening on September 7th. The event was founded by Electric Shadows and this year marks the fourth anniversary. Serk will be partnering up with Electric Shadows to co-ordinate the cycling component of the event.

The event is returning to the Three Shadows Photography Art Centre in Caochangdi.

OPEN AIR BIKE-IN FILM SCREENING – SINGING IN THE RAIN

(Sept 7th @THREE SHADOWS PHOTOGRAPHY ART CENTRE, 40RMB (20RMB if arriving by bike, doors from 6pm film starts at 8pm)

Our fourth annual bike-in event – cycle up to Caochangdi and enjoy some good music, Gold Cider and local Beijing snacks before we screen the classic Singing in the Rain. Come early and hang out in this beautiful space with us enjoying all things bike and film related!

Event Schedule:

4pm Meeting point 1 : Serk Cafe/Bar/Bike Shop – Start the evening off with an expresso, snack or beer
5pm Meeting point 2 : Xiaoyun Bridge East 4th Ring Road (point 9 on map below)
6pm Arrive at Three Shadows : DJ, Drinks, Snacks
8pm Singing in the Rain screening
9.30pm Film finishes – ride home

What to bring :

Bike Lights – you will need these on the way back as it is quite dark for the first few kilometers.
Mosquito repellant – Autumn is here and these guys know their time will be up soon so they are on a feeding frenzy, come prepared !
Blanket – It’s an open air screening so bring a blanket or something else if you’d like to protect your bum from the grass.
Snacks – Bring a picnic dinner along or buy some snacks from the vendors at the event. There is not much food in the area so make sure you eat before you leave.
