Serk Cycling Beijing
With a population density of 150 people per square kilometre it is hard to really get away from it all in China. We've found a glorious spot in Hebei. So good we are going to boldly claim it has some of the best gravel experiences in China. Long continuous gravel roads, mountains, tunnels, rivers and not one tourist. Infact in our scouting over two days we encountered the highest ever animal to human ratio ever recorded in China. Humans : 4 (not including us). Sheep over 100. Cows at least 20. Badger looking critters 3. This is the gravel heaven you've been searching for in China and its only a 3.5 hour drive from Beijing.
Day 1.
Beijing
Arrive in Beijing by 10.30am for the drive out to Hebei. 3.5 hours in the car till we reach our destination hotel and unpack bikes. We will do a quick afternoon ride on the flatland gravel through the corn fields and grasslands.
Day 2.
into THE HEBEI SMOKIES
Up early for full day of gravel grinding. Take on the short loop of 60km or mega loop of 88+. Bring everything you need on the bike for the day. No shops, no restaurants, no phone signal. This is pure adventure!
Day 3.
RIPPING RIDGES
We leave early morning from the Hotel for a easier ride today along the turbine ridges. After yesterday's mega stage you'll be happy for a scenic day on the bike.
Back to Beijing in the early late afternoon for last train / flight back.
