Serk and Electric Shadows team up for Cinema on Wheels this October.

Imagine this:
5 short films
5 secret urban locations
A bunch of cinema goers on bikes
A sanlunche full of alcohol
and a portable projector and sound system.

Ever traversed Beijing’s hutongs late at night ? Away from the toots, squealing brakes and loud speaker shops on the main thoroughfares lie tranquil streets with intriguing shadows, moonlight and dark urban spaces. Cinema on wheels will temporarily transform these spaces into impromptu cinema spaces with our portable projector and sound system. At each secret location, the audience will watch a short film from the comfort of their own bike whilst enjoying drinks from Serk’s pop up sanlunche bar. After each screening we will follow the lead bike to the next secret location — a hutong corner, a bridge pylon or maybe even a parked truck while driver naps? Come Journey with us through Beijing as we temporality transform urban spaces and outrun the chen guan.

Session 1 : 7.00 pm at serk / Finish 9.00 pm at serk
Session 2 : 9.00 pm at serk / Finish 11.00 pm at serk

Cost : 50 rmb per person (includes a Qingdao beer beforehand at serk)
