Yunnan Gran Fondo Logistics Arrangement 2016
Saturday Nov 5th
Hotel : Howard Johnson Tropical Garden Plaza
Arrangement for pickup on Saturday.
Spike and Kristine will be picked up their hotel at 12.30 and the van will take them to airport to pickup everyone else up. Alex, Tomas H, Xin, Tom G, Michael and Charlie are arriving at 1pm from same flight. Lina and Stephen will be arriving at 2pm. So the first group will need to wait a little for the second group.
You will then be driven to the Hotel where the race start is. On arrival you need to unpack your bike. The bike boxes will be taken away back to kunming and then send straight to Lijiang (the finish town on the last day).
Our packing suggestions are as follows –
One bike box with your bike and accessories
One carry-on luggage, with clothes and other stuff.
One backpack or race kit bag to access your race necessities

Start and finish point is the same location. Hotel is across from start/ finish line. We need to check out and transit to Yuxi in the afternoon. Hotel checkout is 12noon we estimate the slowest riders will get back around 13.30 so we will try and extend check out to 14.00. Hotel can not confirm till the day. We will update you once we arrive.
Monday Nov 7th

The finishing point is 82km from the start – our support vehicle will be waiting for you at the end point. Due to the traffic control we cannot define the exact arrangement of the pickup till the actual day. We will notify you ASAP through the WeChat group. We stay in the same hotel as the previous night in Yuxi

Rest day / transit day to Chuxiong

Evening Hotel : Chuxiong Jianhua Hotel
Nov 8 Transit day to Chuxiong. We load the van and drive to Chuxiong in the morning. Time to be notified.
Wednesday Nov 9th
Stage 3.

The finishing point is 23.5km from the start – we are unable to ride down the hill back to the Hotel so we will take our van back to Hotel. We will finalise details on the day.
Checkout time is 12noon. We will try and arrange late checkout. Checkout details will be posted on Tuesday evening.
After lunch we will drive the xxxlm to Dali

Finish point is different to the start point. Award ceremony location is also at different location. Due to the traffic control, I will notify the arrangement of our vehicle to pickup on Nov 11th.
Stephen and Lina will need to go back to the hotel and pack up and change straight after the event. We will send you to the airport for 8pm flight.
Everyone else will stay in Lijiang for another night.
