2016 Autumn Cycling Calender

The warmest days of summer now seem to be behind us. Time to welcome the magical autumn riding season – the best in Beijing.

To whet your appetite check out this video we made last October ;

 

Our plan for the autumn season is as follows. Write the dates down in your calendar  !

 

August 20

Serk ride 25 – Miyun Magic – a loop around the Miyun Reservoir. Rolling hills, views across the water and a visit to the Great Wall. Details here.

 

August 27

Serk ride 26 – Ping gu – we will head back to this area for a new route. Details coming soon.

 

September 3

Serk ride 27 -Fangshan – a special event day. We will organise a ride in the Fangshan area in the morning and then stay on and cheer Josh on it the UCI Cyclocross race on in the same area. We will bring beers and wear funny costumes.  Details coming soon ! Details on the CX race here.

 

September 10

Serk ride 28 -Most riders will be participating in the Beijing Tri. Those that aren’t don’t despair we will still have a Serk ride.

 

September 15 – 17 Mid Autumn Festival

Serk ride 29 -3 day holiday ! Night ride and overnight stay at Tom’s house in Huairou. Details here

 

September 24

Serk ride 30 – Laowai Worlds Test Event. We will head to Huairou and ride the World’s course !

 

 

Oct Holiday – Sichuan Trip

No Serk rides during the holiday apart from the Sichuan trip.

Serk ride 31 -Miyun Baihe Valley. Details here.

 

Oct 22nd

The 2nd Laowai World Championships. THE cycling event of the year in Beijing. Race in your national colours. Sing national songs. Be Merry. Don’t miss this one !

Oct 29th 

Serk ride 33 -Hongjin Lu. The famous Beijing Stelvio switchback road. The road snakes its way up a mountainside in Fangshan district and has to be the most scenic cycling road in Beijing. Its a big drive to get out there but worth it for the spectacular scenery. More details soon.

 

November  6th – 12th Yunnan Gran Fondo

A great way to finish off the season. The Colourful Yunnan Granfondo Cycling Festival is one of the best events on the calendar. A chance to be competitive with Age Group categories or just to enjoy the challenge and scenery in Yunnan. Serk will take a team of riders to the Yunnan Gran Fondo and provide logistics and event support. Details on the event can be found here.  Details and pricing coming soon.
